Care of Trees will be conducting our annual tree trimming beginning on December 5th. We participated in four surveys with four different certified arborists to determine the common property trees to be worked on. Care of Trees, the company that in past years has conducted our winter work, was low bid. Trees that have low hanging branches over sidewalks and roads will be elevated as will trees that are touching private property roof lines. Two dead pine trees will be taken down and large, loose branches called widow makers will be removed. If you have any questions, please call Connie Carpender at 703-538-7048 or Liz Steponkus at 703-534-9599. You may be asked to move your car to facilitate tree work so please pay attention to caution cones.
The post emergent herbicide application scheduled for Tuesday, November 22 has been postponed until Wednesday, November 23. Palmer's is having difficulty collecting leaves because of the wind and will be completing leaf collection on Tuesday, the 22nd, therefore herbicide is delayed.
On Monday, November 21, Palmer's will blow and vacuum through out the community for the first of two leaf removals. On Tuesday, November 22, Palmer's will apply the last of our post emergent broad leaf herbicide treatments. That will soon be followed by our last fertilizer treatment, the last leaf cleanup and mulching for the winter.
There will be a spot herbicide application to side walk edge weeds on Monday, August 15th by Palmer's. The application will be focused on Hopewood Drive.
The pre-emergent herbicide Dimension will be applied to common property grass to curtail crabgrass growth on Thursday June 16th.
Palmer's will be applying an herbicide to our grassy areas on Tuesday, May 31st.
